My Morning Brew

I start with water in a kettle on the stove, then I add a healthy amount of coffee grounds & chicory into an empty French press, next pour the boiling water over the blend, wait 7-15 minutes (or overnight because it's also fantastic iced) depending on preference, finally I pour into the largest mug I can find & add a caramel chocolate creamer. What's the life potion that keeps you going?

Titled Early Morning After a Storm At Sea by Winslow Homer 1900-1902

Blurb: Homer spent two years going back to this piece and called it, "the best picture of the sea I have painted". Makes me feel better about waiting until the time or mood feels right because it can produce bewitching results. I saw it in person at the Cleveland Museum of Art while traveling and the dimension, the use of light, stopped me in my tracks. Photos don't do it justice but hope you enjoy!
